Santhiago Salas is a native Peruvian and a professional personal tour guide. He has been working in the tour industry in Peru for more than 18 years, conducting and leading travel guide trips into different regions as a personal guide and with group travel adventures.
His education includes Tour Business in Peru and Hotel & Restaurant Management at Berkshire Community College in Massachusetts. Since 2002, he has been running Expanding World.

His Personal Experience

The principal component of Santhiago’s trips has been the community service with cultural tours. He has seen firsthand how helping the people in the villages helps the travelers grow. For him, it is a mutually enriching experience.
Santhiago has taken tour groups to Cusco, Machu Picchu, Puno, Arequipa, Lake Titicaca, Nazca Lines, Paracas, and Lima. He has worked extensively with people and organizations in the tourism business with whom he has had a long-standing, positive relationship. This makes the trips smooth, safe, and affordable.
Currently, he divides his time between Peru and Western Massachusetts. Peru is a country filled with enchantment, and he has seen both the travelers' and the native people's lives be enriched time and again.
